AUSTIN, TEXAS -- Salient Systems CompleteView v4.6.2 supports the Hikvision DS-7716NI-SP/16 & 96xxNI-ST NVRs along with the Samsung SRN-1673S, SRN-473S and the SRN-873S NVR platform.
Supported functionality includes live video viewing in all CompleteView clients (video, web and mobile) along with motion detection, text overlay, Dynamic Video Management suite, snapshots, recording status and digital PTZ. Users can view live and playback video on cameras connected to the NVRs. Playback in the video client supports video search based on time, time zone and timeline, single or multi-playback with full digital PTZ and 2X fast playback.
Dynamic Video Management suite is comprised of Dynamic Resolution Scaling (DRS), Dynamic Video Decoding (DVD) and Dynamic Frame Throttling (DFT). DRS delivers the most appropriately sized video stream based on the display size of the viewing client thereby reducing bandwidth consumption. DVD controls server processing for camera streams based on live viewing or server motion detection settings, saving CPU usage. DFT allows the server to monitor camera video queues, balancing load and latency without affecting recorded video.
Successfully manage NVRs in CompleteView’s server configuration with settings auto-populated for all IP channels on the corresponding NVR. Users may also configure multiple storage options for cameras for recording in CompleteView, on the NVR or both.
“We’re very excited to take our partnerships with Hikvision and Samsung to the next level by introducing 3rd party NVR support with their products,” says Chris Meiter, president, Salient Systems. “Using Salient’s integration, consumers can migrate to an enterprise level VMS platform while continuing to use existing Samsung or Hikvision NVRs already deployed.”
“Samsung’s partnership with Salient has proven very successful with the deep integration of CompleteView VMS with our camera line and especially the advanced analytics we offer to the market. We are pleased to see our business and technology partnership expand and support our NVR line-up to reach deeper levels with this integration. This will open up an entire new sales opportunity for both companies,” adds Tom Cook, Samsung VP Sales North America.
Bob Germain, director of product management at Hikvision USA, adds, “We are excited for this new integration, especially for large distributed projects. Combining Hikvision NVRs at remote locations and CompleteView for enterprise central management creates a strong solution for our customers.”
Salient’s CompleteView VMS provides an easy to use way to organize complex sites and zones, and to view layouts in interactive maps, allowing the user to manage complex deployments. Users can monitor the status of any and all servers, add or remove users, change the configurations of servers and clients, and push software updates out to servers and clients from a single desktop application.
